tower of silence

   after zoroastrians die they don't bury but instead place corpses on raised circular structures called towers of silence so the corpses can be purified through exposure to the elements


  basically they believed that death was a temporary triumph of evil ever good that corpses were unclean, and that death was a once a person. vultures must eat human flesh to clean out supposed corpse demons that enter the body after death and just leave rotten bodies out like laundry and this is cool
